What is the yellow triangle light on my alarm?

The yellow triangle light indicates a trouble condition. To find out what the issue is:

  • Elk Systems: Press *2

  • DSC Systems: Press *2 and use the arrow keys to navigate.

This will display the trouble, which could be:

  • Low system battery

  • Low transmitter battery

  • Failure to communicate

  • Zone trouble, etc.

What should I do if I have a low system battery trouble?

You can either:

  • Call our office to schedule a service call.

  • Call our office to put your system on test and follow the videos below to resolve the issue:

    • DSC Systems: Watch this video

    • Elk Systems: Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.

How can I bypass a zone?

For DSC Alarm Systems, follow these steps:

  1. Enter your user code on the keypad.

  2. Press the “Bypass” button or the * key.

  3. Enter the zone number you wish to bypass.

  4. Confirm the bypass by pressing #.

  5. Exit programming mode by pressing #.

  6. Check the keypad to confirm the zone has been successfully bypassed.
